A pan-flat river run offering up the perfect opportunity to view central Exeter whilst partnering the River Exe’s onward journey to the sea.
Enjoy Exeter’s finest forest trails and some stunning views along the way. We’ve also managed to avoid some of the steeper climbs along the way, allowing you to admire the scenery and not your knees!
Starting from inside an iron-age hill fort, this is our most challenging route within the Exeter SixPack Challenge but with exhilarating views and rewarding panoramas. Woodbury, Bicton and East Budleigh Commons are home to commando training… and your training trek too!
A delightful route with a twist as your meandering journey links sections of Ludwell Valley Country Park, Northbrook Park and Riverside Valley Park. This city escape is peaceful and alluring.
You’ll soon be in the flow, with the River Exe as your soulmate as our route takes you along the quayside and out to the Countess Wear bridge. Your canal-side return journey passes by the Double Locks pub. Don’t be tempted…just plan a return visit as a reward for completing the SixPack Challenge.
Mamhead Woods offers runners the perfect sanctuary for trail running. What goes down, must come up and some extended uphill sections will give you a good workout. But you’ll be rewarded aplenty with breathtaking views of the Exe estuary and distant sea.
