The Summer Challenge is open!
The deadline to complete the routes and submit evidence for the Summer challenge is the 30th September.
What is it?
We’ve created six beautiful and bespoke routes of varying distances.
Walk, jog or run. It’s up to you. Choose any route, at any time and in any order!
How Does it Work?
We provide you with bespoke turn-by-turn audio instructions as well as precise locations for the start and parking, ensuring safe and seamlessly smooth route navigation and outdoor discovery.
What Do I Need?
You will need a smartphone and these two apps: RunGo and what3words
You will also need a link to the SixPack location group which will be sent in your participant pack following your registration.
What Do I Get?
You will receive the following on signing up:
- Six bespoke routes crafted by runners for runners
- Access to each route, all with carefully customised turn-by-turn navigation
- Access to an Interactive Leaderboard
- Informative and easy-to-use instructions
On completion of all six routes you will receive a bespoke SixPack medal.
Choose from either the original SixPack Metal Medal or the Summer Challenge Wooden Medal.
The Routes
Hyde and Seek 7K
Hyde
An unexpected and hidden escape from the busy industrial hubbub into the beauty, peace and tranquillity of an undulating, water-themed woodland wonderworld. Look out for kingfishers flitting along the canal just minutes from the start!
Gotta Go Goyt 6K
Woodbank Park, Stockport
A picturesque Victorian park unexpectedly launches you along this meandering, predominantly woodland escape offering stunning riverside scenes and a couple of testing little climbs to blow out the cobwebs.
Run Happy 6K
Bramhall Park, Bramhall
An undulating multi-terrain suburban route that cleverly links three rewarding trail areas. You are led along some stunning woodland and riverside paths before rewarding yourself at the café surrounded by the history and beauty of Bramhall Hall and gardens.
Lock Up & Go 8K
Marple Bridge
A richly varied, multi-surfaced, heritage loop with gorgeous scenery and a few ups and downs to take the breath away in all senses. Follow the barges up the famous locks and enjoy the stunning and peaceful trails along canals, rivers and woodland in the shadow of a magnificent viaduct.
Doing It In Styal 5K
Wilmslow
A rewarding, scenic and heritage trail route taking you from beautiful parkland past the historic mills in Styal Country Park before a flowing return home along stunning riverside trails. A great coffee or tea awaits at the end as an extra bonus.
Flat, For Sale 10K
Sale Water Park, Sale
A pan flat and varied route meanders along inspiring riverside and peaceful woodland trails. Enjoy stunning lakeside vistas and a well-earned tea and cake at the end!
